Lock N Load Events present CADENZA 10TH ANNIVERSARY Luciano (only London club show 2013) Cesar Merveille Lee van Dowski Alex Picone Dandy Jack Clint Lee James Manero + Rooms hosted by: What Matters Random This summer marks the 10th Anniversary of one of the world’s most respected electronic music labels; Cadenza Records. To celebrate this milestone, Cadenza will return to London on Saturday 22nd June, for a landmark event and an epic, ten hour session into the imprints signature sound. Heading the bill will be the Cadenza custodian, the irrepressible, one and only Luciano, in his only London club show of 2013. As one of the most cherished artists of the last decade, the Swiss-born-Chilean-raised DJ represents an amazing combination of the single-minded artist completely devoted to music and a performer whose charisma is an intrinsic part of his global appeal. His DJ sets, particularly those in Ibiza, have become the stuff of legend, as he continues to pack out the world’s greatest clubs and terraces with ease. Since 2002 the Cadenza label has released over eighty singles, albums and compilations and a decade later their objective still runs true. The labels diverse roster of artists continually push dance music to its limits, whilst its goal of showcasing electronic sounds of past, present and future, gives the imprint a platform to manifest an ever-evolving sound. 2013 is set to be Cadenza’s biggest year yet, with a number of its artists collaborating on special music projects to celebrate ten incredible years, as well as expanding its global reach by sending artists to pastures new. At the London event, Luciano will be joined by a selection of these artists. Cesar Merveille’s creative direction has led him to captivate crowds at world renowned clubs such as Fabric, Watergate and Panorama Bar. After honing his craft as an extremely versatile performer, Cesar has gone on to release material on Cadenza, Visionquest and many more. Lee Van Dowski is another fan-favourite and a firm fixture in Cadenza’s tight-knit family. His deep musical roots combined with his open mind, ensures his performance alongside his label cohorts guarantees to be something special. Italian-born Alex Picone’s passion for deep analogue-sounding grooves is reflected in the huge support he has gained from the likes of Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin for his hip-rolling house and techno. His studio efforts have led him into the Cadenza and Vagabundos families alike and landed him recent gigs alongside international talent such as Robert Dietz, Shonky and Nina Kraviz. Completing the selection of Cadenza artists playing the 10th Anniversary is Dandy Jack. His sense and taste for Latin sounds and rhythms has resulted in collaborations with both Luciano and Villalobos. With his 2013 calendar already starting to shape up nicely, London is privileged to welcome Dandy to this outstanding line-up. Having recently played host to some of the Capital’s leading and most prolific underground club nights to tremendous effect, Fire & Lightbox in Vauxhall has been chosen for this truly historic celebration. Boasting an incredible Funktion One sound system throughout, Fire has welcomed many of London’s leading club nights to the venue in recent months, including Bedrock, Bugged Out, Viva Warriors and Lost. Apparat, Amirali [live], Booka Shade, Dyed Soundorom, Jeff Mills, John Digweed, Simian Mobile Disco, Solomun, Steve Lawler, The Martinez Brothers and Tiefschwarz are just a handful of the world class acts that have performed at Fire recently, making this outstanding space one of London’s leading underground experiences. Fire’s industrial setting and unique party atmosphere will act as the perfect complement to Cadenza’s trademark sound.
